Free Nutrition & Supplement E-books

Knowledge is power and I wish to share the knowledge with all of my web site viewers. So here I have consolidated a list of free e-books on supplements and nutrition available on the internet.

The late Iron Guru, Vince Gironda would say, Nutrition is almost 80% of fitness.
So here are the links to 5 excellent books on nutrition and supplements.

  1. Hi Murali

Could you please advise on Creatine supplementation. How would GYM goers like us, who have never taken creatine can start.

What would be the benefits of taking creatine over not taking creating.
what are the risks and how they can be avoided.

Please kindly add your personal experience with creatine if you ever had taken it.
    Regards
    Surya

  3. Hi suraj,

creatine is a slat produced in our body which fills our muscle stores of energy quickly.

but we might not be able to produce large quantities of that. So supplementing that can replenish our muscles fast and hence improve our performance.

like any other supplement we should add extra water while on this supplement to keep our kidneys clean.. if we take enough water there are no risk

we take it in cycles of 8 weeks on and 6 weeks off so that in that 6 weeks off our body tries to equalize the loss by producing more creatine and so on

    all the best

    cheers

  4. some more details please.

    what is creatine loading.
    what is exact dosage.
what will happen if after taking creatine workout is missed.

do you yourself take creatine, if yes how?

please give a detailed info, not brief answers.

  5. the dose of creatine that a person needs is 5 grams post workout

and loading has not shown much effect on me. taking that much creatine just empties your pocket

just take 5g creatine with 50g simple carbs and 25g protein (this is exactly the way i take it)
i take it for 8 weeks and then do not take it for 4-6 weeks.. taking for longer time does not affect anything

but taking off and restarting gives a better response to the body

if you workout for 4 days a week - take 5 g of creatine around the same time in non training days too... That should not be a worry

just make sure to drink plenty of water to transport the creatine

    all the best

    cheers

  6. Thanks Murali,

I will start creatine intake now. I have been intensely exercising since 2-3 months but I feel very fatigued shortly. Not much growth in arem size is achieved yet.

By the way is creatine intake post workout not necessary? i.e. To replenish cretine lost during work out?

  8. suraj,

for me i was very productive in the first year

then i was able to grow from half - one inch an year and the same is true with even pros... so patience is the key

and you post workout creatine is the most important one

if you have money to buy creatine and other supps you can have it with some protein and carbs pre post and during workouts also

    cheers

    Hi Murali, hw r ya?
    >> am doing great bro

    1. I wanted to know, is there any set to increase the peak of the biceps?
    >>biceps peak is determined by genetics. but doing concentration curls and hammer curls increases biceps height which gives a better looks to your peak(shape of your peak is genetics and height is given by proper workouts)

    2. Currently m on whey, so shud I start Creatine after that?
    >>whey is more than enough. if you feel that you need more push on workouts - add whey with creatine in postworkout

    just gimme sum valuable tips.
    >>i think i do not share anything less than valuable!!

    cheers
