  1. Hey, bro... how you doing?Got a question..Can a high blood pressure guy weight train?
    If no, why?
If yes/conditional yes, what's one supposed to do in the face of high BP to stick to weight training?

  2. Rodeobiker,

A high BP guy can weight train but not like other normal individuals...

He can just train for 30 minutes with low intensity and cardio preferably.

Once he gets his BP under control he can slowly increase the intensity of workouts

    cheers

  3. Thanks for the answer, buddy!
Does this explanation hold good for all high BP patients ragardless of how hiugh the BP is?

For eg, can this be religiously applied for a person with BP 140/90 and 200/110?

How would the approach vary for both these high BP patients?

Your guidance on weight training/cardio for both these groups (140/90 and 200/110) would br very much appreciated.

  4. Rodeobiker,

No buddy 140/90 is close to normal and he can return to normal very soon and continue his workout

but 200/110 will have to make his pressure stable and until that he has to be very gentle...

I am no doctor to tell the exact timing and stuffs that a person will reach normal pressure and stuffs,,,,

Higher the pressure - higher the risk (high above normal range)

    cheers
